Well it is typical for Anet and many game studios to reduce the difficulty of some of the content to allow everyone to experience it. While I don't think the content is too difficult, finding some of it has been confusing for alot of people, so making it easier to find the next stop is a welcome change, but making it easier isn't really necessary.
However, Anet wants to sell the new costumes so to get people in the mood, they need to move players onto the new content, making the WiK quests easier is just business.
The kickback on this is probably that oppressor weps will be a little bit more widely available, so more people will be able to get points for the hom valor monument also. I think prices will still remain high since it still takes a while to get enough medals for one wep (drag a char through proph, eotn, wik, play dailies) but expect some market levelling once more people start to come through WiK

@Angel: Just use skill 5 if you have many Conditions, when Miku "calls" Promise of Death on a foe, hit that foe with Sniper Shot. Skill 6 is a healing stance, it can affect Miku if you are within earshot of her

There is an article that specifically says the cat ears were nothing to do with anime and Miku is just a name...where do you think an anime cartoon got it in the first place

I'm tired of paying for costumes. I've been suckered enough with Grenth's and Lunatics [because they look nice]. I can see why they often create and sell costumes one at a time for about 1/4 the price of an actual game, though. There're a lot of players willing to blow what they think is just a small amount of money, until it all just adds up to the price of an actual game. If they're smart, they'll realize this; otherwise, they'll continue blowing their money on so many costumes, never realizing that they've payed enough money on them that they could've bought like a couple new games for a console, or other actual "games" and not just one teeny-tiny little costume that took just a few minutes to an hour to make.
That's just my take on the subject.

I'm willing to bet that it isn't lack of money that is holding back GW addicts from playing other games, particularly those willing to spend on costumes.
That said, unless I'm seeing wrong, there's like 3 male costumes that are practically identical? Value is just dropping like a rock.
